There is this HS pitcher '06 that was asked to pitch "for fun" in a practice game for a Low A Minor League team pre-season. The NCAA rules don't really lay out the parameters for something like this. They just say you can't get paid or sign any agreement with a pro team, agent etc. I think I remember something about a time limitation. Anyway, will this kid mess up his elgibilty for college play if he does this?

The good players I know do not need to have ego boosted in this manner.

The question is regarding the impact on the eligibility--I for one am not sure how it would be interpreted-- I am researching the rules to see if I can get a handle on it--- If during their season it may be a problem--- in our region it cannot be done--it is taboo!!!!

You might also want to reread what you posted-- An Astros camp but pitching to Padre players--???????

TR the Astros ran the camp, all the instructors worked for the Astros mostly MLB scouts, several also worked as minor league coaches during the summer. Players were all in the San Diego Area, some were HS players, college, many minor league players, several MLB players attended too, Several played for the Padres> many of the HS players were future 1st rounders and MLB players.

Team Canada Juniors played the Atlanta Braves extended spring training team in spring 2004
