My HS junior has gotten a few questionaires that include sections for high school stats and high school coaches contact info. How much value do the college coaches put into them? My son unfortunately didn't have good stats as a Sophomore.

His high school team is just not very good. Many routne plays that should be made aren't and the hits, runs and losses mount. The high school coaching isn't real good either.

We'd rather list the summer stats/coaching contacts but they usually specify the high school???

Summer ball is much better

Elroy - Sounds a lot like my older son's HS team and his sophomore stats. I was concerned about it too...because even though I had been told that they weren't that important, I didn't want them to "eliminate" him at any given college.

Prepster is spot on (I believe) in that innings pitched and K/BB ratio are the ones that will mean anything to a college coach.

In the end, they will need to see your son pitch somewhere/sometime. Focus on setting up a summer season where that can and will happen.
