I recall an article that less than 1% came back positive, so they stopped.
The reason it costs so much was because ANY person who participated in extra curricular activities such as band, drill team, girls and boys basketball, softball, cheerleading, and tennis, were randomly tested in addition to baseball & football. Because the testing was so wide spread there were fewer varsity football, baseball, and wrestling athletes tested and therefore lower percentages caught. I think if you only tested varsity football, baseball, and wrestling you would see much more than 1% test failures.

100% Agree

Seems that when Atheletes were tested it was the
Incoming Freshman kids.
It would be interesting if only Varsity Starters
were tested.
Then I believe the 1% would be WAY higher.
