From Baseball America this week: UC Riverside junior righthander A.J. Shappi threw a complete game Thursday against Brigham Young, holding the Cougars to one run on six hits.
For those of you who don't know the rest of the story, AJ had "no decisions" in his first 2 starts, leaving the mound with a lead after 6 innings and 8 innings in the two earlier games, but seeing the lead evaporate after he left the game.
Another great job by AJ. Hopefully the bullpen will see that if they can't get it done, the starters will be the "finishers". Way to go AJ!!!
