right now i'm kind of in a hitting slump which suck so bad. I have been averaging a hit a game but I would like to have 2 hits a game. I have been hitting the ball on the handle and on top of the ball a lot.I have been working on not rapping my bat around my head and when the pitch is coming I tend to raise up instead of going back and going strait to the ball.. ANY ADDITIONAL tips would help.

everyone has had a slump. If you haven't you haven't played long enough. The only way to get out of a slump is to hit your way out of it. Extra hitting is the key. If you are getting jammed alot you could try some one hand drills. keep you're lower body still and just focus on throwing your hands at the ball. Always seems to help me. Good luck
In the box, focus on the pitcher's hat, as pitcher begins the wind up focus on the the release point, work on seeing the ball leave the pitcher's hand.

60 % weight back, front knee canted in a little. Nothing starts til the front foot touches, hips slightly lead a circular hand path that actually starts toward the opposite batters box, flat hands through the zone bottom palm facing down, top palm facing up (flat hands)with bottom hand pulling through the zone & lead arm extention above the plane of the ball. Lay off the breaking ball and wait for the fastball. All these should help.

I just went through the same thing last year towards the end of the year. It's very frusturating, but you have to work through it. I found that I changed my stance and the mechanics of my swing was different than my usual. Swing tons and if you feel uncomfortable then keep swinging until your comfortable. I did hand-eye coordination drills too like hitting golf ball sized wiffle balls with the handle of a broom. That seemed to help getting the barrel on the ball. Good luck with that.
