He has the tee way too far forward in the first part of the clip, IMO.
I think the reason is to get the forward extension on your swing. Much like a towel drill for a pitcher.

I went back to look at the video and on the inside pitch, 2nd swing side view I slowed the video down frame to frame and to me it looks like his left arm is tucked at contact and straightens out after contact right before hands roll over.
Not sure I'm seeing what you're seeing.
