Especially the shorter pitchers. Article on Royals pitcher Tim Collins who stands all of 5'7" playing in MLB. Gives me some hope.

I went to a Cal State Fullerton game this week and saw Richy Pedroza play SS. They list him as 5'5" and this kid can rake. I really don't follow CSF much and when he came up to bat I thought to myself "this kid looks like he is a little leaguer"....he proceeds to hit a deep gapper to the fence for a tripple. Wow is all I can say, this kid can play. Half way through the game you quickly forget about his size.

Local boy is leadoff batter as a true freshman for the #1 team in the country. OPS is .915. He is 5'6".

I've been rooting for Collins ever since I heard about him. I hope he can do well and stay in the big leagues.
