How are Central Region Districts Shapping Up?

Tucker beat Deep Run last night so I'm not sure Deep Run is still in 2nd.

Cosby has either officially clinched the Dominion or, if it's not a mathematical certainty yet, it will be soon enough. James River is 2nd but the tourney determines the second regional berth so that gets them a tourney bye but nothing more.

Atlee won over Hanover last night and Hanover won over Less Davis last week....Atlee may be in 2nd place now....

Central District...

Dinwiddie is in 1st, up a game on 2nd place Matoaca. They play either today or Tuesday with the title most likely on the line. Col Heights is in 3rd, up one game on Thomas Dale in 4th. PG is in 5th, one game back of TD. A three way tie for 3rd is possible. Dale and Col Hts play twice in the next 4 days. Col Hts also plays Matoaca this week. So it be a free for all, the last few games to see who qualifies for the 3 and 4 spots in the tourney....

Cosby can go undefeated in the Dominion district with wins against Manchester and Monacan. Dinwiddie can also run the table in the Central district. Very, very impressive if either team can do it.

Then Cosby has clinched the Dominion officially. The worst case (albeit unimagineable) scenario is if they lost their last two games. That would create a tie with JR at most, and Cosby would have the tie breaker from having won both regular season matchups.

I believe Atlee and Lee-Davis are tied for 2nd in the Capital with two losses each (one to each other plus one to Hanover). As mentioned, Atlee beat Hanover the second time around. If L-D were to beat Hanover and all teams hold serve otherwise (a pretty good bet since there is a decent drop of behind those three this year) then there is a three way tie for first. Last year L-D and Atlee tied for first and had a one game playoff. I'm not sure how a three way tie would be broken. Regardless, if Hanover beats L-D (and they won 13-0 last time) then Hanover is 1st, Atlee 2nd, L-D 3rd.

Nevermind...just read that Henrico beat Lee-Davis tonight. So that should end any chance of a three way tie.
