nobody is talking about the Strasburg kid---scratched last nite due to what they say is a inflamed shoulder--- first it was day to day--now now thorwing for at least two days--I hope the kid is going to be OK

I hope he's alright too. He's been a lot of fun to watch.
I thought it was odd how his arm felt fine going into game day, then suddenly, his arm felt bad during his pre-game bullpen. You would think he would have felt discomfort leading up to his start in the days prior.

Hope he is fine, he certainly has been good for baseball and the Nationals.
Just think what would have happen if he would have been scratched before game day, the attendance would have not been a high as it was with the expectation of him pitching.

Since they had definite plans to shut him down at a certain number of innings no matter what(160?), they probably feel that giving him a break as well as being super cautious is the way to go. I'm hoping that's all it is.
