As you all know showcases are expensive and many are away from home--How can a great BB player be exposed if hi is limited to his attendance. My son has been to a couple and those were pricey including travel and lodging. He has received great feedback from the showcase coaches but where does it go from there??? Anyone know what I should do next? Catchers mom.

Generally, showcasing should be very limited. The rest of it is a matter of choosing your travel team based on fit for your son's needs and your family's finances. You can also hope to get someone interested and see if they will come to spring high school games, or you can attend some of a particular college's camps to shove yourself right under their noses. Some camps are under $100.
Catcher Mom;
are you from Southern California? We are coordinating the Tampa Bay Rays, Pro Scout team tryout August 17 in Escondido. There is "no fee to participate".
College coaches attend this tryout. Please register on our web site <www.goodwillseries.org>

Go to a 'showcase' where they post results online so the world can see.
Thanks for the responses-- He has attended the USA baseball championship and I thought there would be lots of scouts, but they were random at different games. I took him to an MVP showcase and he did well, and wanted him on the National team but are asking $2500 for a one time tournament...Is this the norm??
Bob- I registered my son for the tryout. What time and where is it exactly? I was not able to find that information.
Thanks
If your in the LA area check out the SoCal Bombers or San Gabriel Valley Arsenal. Both are high quality reasonable cost programs. Forget about MPV, way too expensive for the average family.
The fall scout league that Bob mentioned is the best bang for your buck.
Consultant , do the Rays have any tryouts here in Tampa or Port Charlotte ?
The Area Scout determines the tryout schedules.
Goodwill Series Inc. contacts are with the California Ray's scouts.
