hmm 30 minutes in line....but if you add the walk to and from the car (where I had to park)..add another hour
SBK,
From your profile it looks like you own a residence in Iowa yet are a registered voter in SD
.
It's the small things that we learn from elections that may clean things up, and make polititians think twice about who the represent.

Took 5 mins to vote. Had to produce picture ID or voter registration, as I have in every election I've participated in in TX.
Kudos to SBK and the rest of the SD voters.

Dropped by polling place at 7:15 am and two longs line out the door. Waited in line 10 minutes when I realized had left ID in the truck.
Gave it up and went on to work. Went back at 5pm and surprisingly no line. Did show ID when I arrived, but had it out and just handed it to the worker.

For me, 20 minutes. For my wife, walked right in and voted. For my son in Gambier, Ohio? Five hours and he was one of the lucky ones! Others were still in line at 3:00a.m. Longest lines in the country according to CNN and other networks.
Until I turned 18.
Pretty strange. The wife and I tried to "early vote" three times. Would have taken 45 minutes to an hour. On election day we walked in, signed the book, showed an id, voted, and were out in about 5 minutes.
To whom this may concern,
Thanks for the kind words expressing appreciation for the small part I played in removing Tom Daschle in the senate. Our new senator, John Thune is going to be a great representative for South Dakota. From my perspective, the rest of the country did a great job of making our nation a better place also.
To RZ1, thanks for bring it to my attention that my profile listed Iowa. I moved across the river last February. With South Dakota having no state taxes and now being able to pay resident fees to hunt and fish some of the best places in the country, life is certainly good.
The baseball season is a little too short but we do the best we can. It’s a short drive down the interstate to Omaha, so we always look forward to seeing great college baseball in June.
The election is over and the people have spoken, now’s the time for the politicians to do the people’s business and we can have some fun talking baseball.

Can you vote 3 times in TN?
I thought that was only in Chicago (and this year Milwaukee).
