What is the best way to find out about upcoming quality showcase tournaments in the fall? What I mean by quality is that there will likely be scouts in attendance.
The largest showcase tournament in the fall is the World Championships down in Jupiter every October. This is one that even if your son is not part of a team he can join a Perfect Game team. I strongly recommend this tournament. I believe last October they had over 900 scouts in attendance.
We run some very good tournaments of our own but there is nothing that compares to the event above in the fall. The last weekend in October is left for this event only right now. If you can get in to it, I would try and go. We get a lot of teams in our events that go to it as well, just the number of teams attending is pretty impressive.
I am sending my kid to the Super 60 camp in September in Dayton, OH. We got invited to it by a couple of college coaches but the Pastime group runs the event. My kid is only 16 but he's well over 6 feet tall, anybody know what we should look for when talking with coaches?
