Welcome to HSBaseballweb!

Here are a couple of links, the first is one from this web site, it will give you a great overview of the recruiting process.

This is Perfect Game's showcase schedule and you can get to the tournament schedule if your team will be attending:

There are also many discussions under the recruiting questions that would be good to read over.

Good Luck!

Welcome, This web site is a great source of information and opinions!

PG is a great place to start. Attend one of their showcases and get rated. While there has been much debate about their ratings, it does provide an independent evaluation of your talent and abilities.

I believe my son got many letters because of his PG rating.

Also pick your top choices for schools you would like to go to and go to their camps, talk to their coaches about their program and what it takes to play at their school. Most coaches will give you honest feedback and let you know where you stand with them. If they don't talk to you much while you are at their camps, well that also sends a message.

Good luck.
You'll see lots of good advice here. The big piece of advice that gets emphasized is grades!! It is REALLY important to work on your GPA and test scores (when the time comes to take them). Consider taking a prep course for your SATs and ACTs..it really does matter to college coaches. Don't think it's all about baseball...they want a sure thing (i.e. a baseball/scholar who can keep up their grades while playing college ball) and the only way to know for sure is to look at how you did in high school.
