Hey guys, I have a few questions on how to get my arm stronger for the upcoming tryouts and hopefully the season. I am a high school freshman, and plan on trying out for the JV team in January. This gives me 5 months to prepare myself and get better. The weakest part of my game, is my arm. The throws down to second just don't have the velocity I am looking for. It's like the ball dies right before it's at the bag, how can I fix this? Obviously I need to strengthen my arm but, how? My accuracy could use some help too.

Do you remember Johnny Bench?

His father placed the second base bag beyond the second base stake into short CF.

This provided Johnny the velocity, he later displayed for the Reds.

When he threw to second, the pitchers ducked or step off the mound. His throw actually climbed as they accelerated to second base.

"true story"
