For what it's worth ... your son still has some filling out to do as he gets older so the 80-82 will probably improve on its own as he matures. My advice as a former infielder is to keep his focus on his footwork. Proper approach and footwork through the ball can even out many arm strength issues. When his arm naturally improves as he strengthens, he will have the footwork down with the eventual added bonus of arm strength.

Couldn't agree more about the footwork. Great post. I would still work the bands and long toss.
