How to talk to two schools

Eagle, you sound a bit like my son and I about all of this, i.e. talking to another coach/college when you already feel good about one that has shown sincere interest in your son.

We too have a couple of D3's that are fantastic programs with coach's that have high integrity and character that have already offered my son the opportunity to play for them. Meanwhile, a NAIA has come along and blew them away...i.e. location, playing time, potential, etc. I have felt that until a solid, bonafide offer is on the table and accepted by my son then I don't see where any talks with the other schools need to end. I personally think telling them could push them away, and really, why do that when you don't need to at this time? With D3's it's not as though they have money on the table and can take it off. Take your time and keep all offers open and alive.

Believe it or not the coach's are doing the same with prospects...trying to figure out which one's will show up or not, etc.

BTW....I also personally see nothing wrong with bargaining ploy's in this recruiting business. Parents use it to get the best possible college and scenario for their son's and their future. To me, bargaining ploy is nothing more than selling.
