I remember reading some posts about donating to help run this site and someone (TPM, maybe) told me that it is often done in December by members.
This website has answered many questions the past couple of years, especially this year.

I just tried to donate using american express and it would not accept. There is an AE icon in the credit card section. Did anyone else use AE?
