There's a bunch of chatter on this forum about all the different openings still out there. Lets see if we can put them all together. I know a bunch of people are curious about all of these.

I am definitely interested in seeing these openings
With all the talk from board members in here, I would have assumed we would have received some responses.
I don't know of any baseball openings in Fairfax County. Football though is a different story.
... Same as MajorDad - though one could say there should be some openings...
I do know that South Lakes and Falls Church are currently looking for JV Head Coaches
Spotsylvania Head Coach position, Coach went to UMW.
Pretty sure that all positions have been filled in the Central Region except for Midlothian (and, I think they are pretty close to deciding)
Also, the new school Glen Allen may or may not be open. Just looked on Henrico's site and didn't see it posted as an opening...

I saw the same thing, and it made me wonder what's going on out there. I know they'll be playing a JV schedule early on (only freshman and sophomores at the school I think), but I still think they'd hire a varsity baseball coach? The new schools that open are generally very popular with some of the better area coaches...look at the last three to open...Cosby, Deep Run, and Hanover all got one of the best candidates in the area. I would imagine that job will attract some very strong applicants.
Staples Mill High School opens for the 2010-2011 school year but you're right... I believe the job will attract some good coaches because of its location (right down the street from the Glen Allen complex)and its ability to bring in some good ball players. With a couple of years and a good coach, they could be a team to reckon with in the Central Region.
Loudoun County HS is looking for a JV coach as well right now. The varsity program there has some talented kids that should be pretty solid this year.
