HS Player on JV as Junior now to Texas A&M

Greg Maisto, LHP at Southlake Carrol was on the JV team as a junior and this year as a senior.... committed to Texas A&M University.

I had the opportunity to coach him this past summer and I knew he had the talent to play college baseball. However, Texas A&M I thought was only a possiblity after two years at a junior college. I loved being proven wrong. Sometimes, even if a kids says he wants something..... it is hard to know what he is willing to do to get it. Greg busted his butt his senior year and is now getting the reward.

Congratulations to him. I hope he shows that hard work always pays off.

Awesome story showcase. I personally think the commitments are coming too soon. Especially soph. committing before their hs season is finished. Just my opinion. Congrats to the Carroll kid.
