Greenbriar Christian Academy 5 Landstown 2 (9 innings)

Well played game; Greenbriars pitching was better at shutting down the Landstown bats. Landstown didn't record their first hit until the 7th when they collected two and plated their 2nd run.

The Gators were clearly the more polished team, but defensively both teams played exceptionally well
being their first scrimmage and all.

Greenbriar got on the board in the first after starter Kyle Lawhorn reached his(short)pitch count after four batters K/BB/K/BB. Cameron butler relieved; Hit batsmen, base-hit (2 runs scored) K.

Freshmen Michael Curry (3rd/4th) & Jeremy Saniford (5th/6th) followed. They pitched well, off-speed pitches were highly effective, but the Gators were able to score a single run in three of those innings.

The Gators are fundementally sound in all facets of the game and their pre-season projection fits.

Landstown has a few things to work on and the first thing I would recommend is to break-in those new cleats.
