Hello Colleagues, I have about 575 dollars (from fundraiser) to spend this off season. I want to spend most if not all on our field.

We play in a low-middle income district and play on a basic field with a chain link backstop and chain link outfield fences. Our "dugouts" are also behind chain link fences, with benches on cement slabs. Two season ago I handpainted a scoreboard and last year I hung distance markers around the OF. Our district pays a groundskeeper to stay on top of the IF (dragging etc) and he does a pretty good job maintaining the field itself.

I would like to upgrade the dugout (racks etc) Fences (windscreens) and the general visual appeal to make it look more like a Varsity baseball team's HOME field.

HOW WOULD YOU SPEND THE 575.00? IF YOU HAVE ANY LINKS ETC please include them.

gater,

$575 won't go a very long way these days. I would see if you could get some windscreen for (either/or both) the CF section of the fence and the backstop.

CF fence to help with the hitter's eye and behind the backstop to help the IF's pick the ball up off the bat.

Couple of more suggestions would be to hang signs on the backstop for every year the school has made the playoffs. Or high a sign at the top of the backstop that faces the stands. On it have the school name, mascot, and logo. Just something to let everyone know it's "your" field.

Can you do any other fundraising? Maybe sell OF advertisement signs?
