A tall athletic nine year old? Oh boy! He's not tall. He's tall for his age. He's not athletic. He's athletic for his age. Let him be a little boy. When he becomes a teen and hIts the full size field start looking for physical development. In the meantime focus on fundamentals. And don't overdue it with his arm. By high school no one cares, or remembers who the pre high school studs were.

Yeah, keep feeding him.  A 9yo who can throw strikes with some velocity for 40 pitches or so is doing great.  At 10yo you'd like to see him get up around 60. If so, the biggest problem you'll face is coaches who will want to overuse him. Stay on top of that and stay away from year-round pitching and he should be fine.
