If the forecast can be believed, we should get dry weather (finally) in both No. & So. CA starting Wednesday. With your son's big day this weekend it wouldn't dare be anything but beautiful weather!
The sun is shining brightly through our windows and I am hopeful that I may dry out a little. Now, if I could just get the pool to look like a swimming pool instead of a lagoon. Heaven knows what is at the bottom of it right now ...
To those Californians who are affected by the heavy rains: I pray that your homes and families are safe. I've been reading about the mud slides and I understand more rain is predicted in some of the areas. Be careful and don't hesitate to leave if the emergency officials say it's time to head for safer grounds.
Living in the hills and having a well, I welcomed the rain. The heavy snow 40 miles above us,is what we look forward to as we have well water and the snow pack plays a big part in how much quality water we have the rest of the year, but enough is enough.
And some of the fishermen, who love to frequent the Eastern Sierras, are thrilled with all the snow ... they are counting the days till spring training and "opening day" ... for baseball AND fishing.
Believe it or not, here in Northern California we got a tourney in this weekend. Some games were put back a couple hours but we played. My son looked good. I am so looking forward to baseball season! Bring on the sunshine.
Having some personal interests in Tucson at this time, I noticed that they are expecting rain showers tonight thru Wed, and then again around the 1st ...
Today is the last day we're supposed to see rain here in Northern CA for awhile, but boy did we ever finish with this latest series of storms in style. We had one or two small (if there is such a thing) tornadoes touch down in West Sacramento, and there were some serious thunderstorms around the area too. Tomorrow is supposed to be the beginning of a week of no rain, so we should be good to go for this weekend's game.
CAdad, its hard to imagine that Tiger being near that Field for a minimum of 8 days and as much as 30 days, while the kids were practicing, both baseball and s****r. I'm still not sure they needed to shoot it.
CC1533, Agreed. At one point our police chief was involved, but he was on vacation when they actually shot the tiger. Next time I see him I'll ask if they ever had any plans to tranquilize it.
