Saturday my son had a dbl header at Appalacian State with his showcase team. During our second game between innings the App St basball coaches were playing the play by play on the speaker system between innings. During the 8th inning of our game is was at the point in the football game where Michigan was going for the winning field goal. The hitter was getting in the box so they cut off the speaker system so the game could resume. At that time all the fans at the game shouted "Leave it on , leave it on." So the umpires called time out and the kid stepped out of the box. They blocked the fg attempt and the place erupted. Soon you could hear the students way down the mountain screaming and yelling. Fireworks were going off , horns were blowing , it was crazy. After the game as we were trying to get out of Boone we came across a group of students carrying the goal posts from App States football field up a hill and they put them in the front yard of the Chancellors house. It was a blast to witness.
