Will taking an ice bath within a hour or so after a workout, help recovery time (or any other benefits)?

Ice baths can be tremendous for recovery, testosterone levels and central nervous system rejuvenation. Contrast baths/showers are also great.
I recommend this to allof my athletes who have demanding schedules, such as MLB athletes or young players with grueling travel schedules.
FYI, they certainly are not for the weary.

What is an ice bath, and how do you do it?
Not trying to be a jerk, but an ice bath is merely a bath taken with ice. You don't drain the tub until you are done. As Jon said, these are not for the faint of heart, but the results I had with it were great. Although, I rarely do this because I cannot handle the pain.
For me the only bad part is the initial shock which only last a couple of seconds and then its fine (at least for me).
How much ice do you use...to fill the tub? or just in a tub full of water? How much does it improve your recovery time?
