"I was amazed by the rotation of his body and how he basically positions his body to get that bat plane in an area where the ball's pitched," Mulholland says. "I've never seen a hitter contort his body in such a way, particularly his feet. He actually rolls over his feet when he hits the ball."

This is how Terry Mulholland explains Ichiro's swing after watching him repeatedly in batting practice.....

I have watched him in BP many times, and he has more power than anyone on his club other than Sexon. He hits balls deep into the seats in right time after time. He just does not carry the power stroke over to the game. Wade Boggs did the same thing......hit ball after ball in the right field seats in BP and then spray one to left during the game. Guys find a comfort zone and don't change when they are successful doing it a different way.

I read a scouting report in the Sporting News that says that he could easily hit 20+ homers a season if he wanted to.
I've never seen anyone hit line drives and grounders as hard as he does.
