I've seen ball games all over this great country of ours and I have to say that Illinois outfielders are the absolute worst I've ever seen.

They drop cans of corn, they get balls lost in the sun and the lights, they take bad routes to balls in the gap.

You'd never see this from a California outfielder or a Georgia outfielder.

I totally disagree and have seen outfielders all over the country and think many of our outfielders can and do compete with any others I have seen.
With many of the newer turf football fields you can take fly balls many more months than we used to. During the months you can't the ones I know work arm velocity, footspeed, running speed, conditioning and strenght training. JMO

Dazed I hear ya, my son is also the greatest outfielder in the world that I have ever seen. The next one he drops will be his first. He is 8 and has been playing the outfield since we needed another player for backyard whiffle ball at 3. I am glad his initials are O F since it seems to fit him perfect for his brilliant OF skills. Watch out for Oscar Fidilia in the future!

I just thought I'd be as ridiculous as those two.

Well thanks for driving the point home on one count.

It proves the point by you bringing it up again after it was water under the bridg.
I couldn't have proven the point any better than that. Thanks!
