Good teams make their own luck.
Who cares how they won. They won the World Series! They should have a year where everything falls in to place once every 88 years. It hasn't happened for the Cubs. Too bad. But as Jack Brickhouse used to say, "Every team has a bas century now and again."
I'll amend my statemnt: The Sox won with luck, career years and random occurances during the regular season.
Every team needs some luck every now and then , but the Sox won with the best pitching staff in the bigs. Expect them back in the hunt again. Notice they kept the staff in tact for the most part. Pitching wins Championships and if you think otherwise, think again...
Probably true for most Champions in any sport...it's a beautiful thing...enjoy it.

you might want to think the same way--its a mistake thinking the WS are the best thing since sliced bread--I think they have problems in '06
Look at the deals their players are getting--ask yourself are they getting too comfortable
Once again I say --look at the Red Sox Nation
Also check your post --do not be so quick to tell people to become familiar with things when you arent

Compare the salary level of the 2 teams....astronomical difference.
