I, MAXINE , being of sound mind and body, do not wish to be kept alive indefinitely by artificial means. Under no circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of pinhead politicians who couldn't pass ninth-grade biology if their lives depended on it, or lawyers / doctors interested in simply running up the bills. If a reasonable amount of time passes and I fail to ask for at least one of the following:

Glass of wine
chocolate
Margarita
Martini straight up
Cold Beer
scotch on the rocks
Chicken fried steak
cream gravy
chocolate
Mexican food
chocolate
French fries
chocolate
Pizza
chocolate
ice cream
cup of tea
chocolate
Chocolate

Chocolate

It should be presumed that I won't ever get better. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my appointed person and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes, let the "fat lady sing". . and call it a day!

I am right there with you with a few modifications:

Bailey's Irish Creme on the rocks (note the chocolate flavored booze here?)
chocolate candy (Dove milk or dark chocolate preferred)
Chicken fried steak (I do believe I was a Southern belle in my first life)
cream gravy (where are the bisquits?)
mashed potatoes (need something with that chicken fried steak, right?)
chocolate chip cookies (chewy variety please)
Mexican food
chocolate silk pie
French fried onion rings
chocolate milk
spaghetti
HOT chocolate
ice cream (surprize ... my favorite is VANILLA)
chocolate dusting (on my non-fat latte please)
cup of tea (and of course it must be SWEET)
chocolate chips (straight from the bag)
and of course - - -
CHOCOLATE !!!!
FBM - I'm going to take your list which is pretty close for my wishes and modify a few. Smile

chocolate candy (Dove milk chocolate preferred)
cream gravy (where are the bisquits?)
chocolate chip cookies (chewy variety please and hot out of the oven with a glass of skim milk!)
Mexican food
"ma blakeman's" pull candy (oh... that could be the death of me!)
chocolate silk pie
blackberry cobbler
pizza
HOT chocolate with cream on top
ice cream (mint chocolate chunk)
strawberry dacquri
filet mignon with garlic butter sauce
and last but not least... a good baseball game and my UK wildcats basketball!!!

I hear ya!!!!!!!!!

FBmom,.....I am drooling!!!
( chocolate chips right out of the bag,....now that makes a good woman proud!!!) Big Grin

I'll take that whole concept one step further:
Ever taken a spoon full of nestle morsels and actually dipped the spoon into the jar of creamy peanut butter??? I swear,...the heavens open up and sing HALLELUJAH on a pms-ie day!
Then for a kicker, throw in a bag of crunchie extra salty potato chips,..the kind with the skin still on them,..and well to be honest,..it quite possibly better than,____. Wink

I just love that Maxine!!!

Lafmom - Can you just order a bag of Ma Pullman's candy for us ladies to try? Thank you 'mam!

SSM - Chips and peanut butter I can do very easily - just not sure about the extra salty potato chips!! Of course, I do know that being the stress of being an 08 mom can lead to all kinds of coping skills!!

On another note, my day was made today - first day of school in Texas - on my morning walk - I just passed a little boy wearing a batman cape riding his bike to school this morning! That cape blowing in the wind just made my day!!

Have a good one ladies!!
First day of school. I had forgotten how long the line is to drop your kids off until this morning. I feel sorry for my son's school, they were not handing out schedules until this morning. That is a whole lot of kids not knowing where they were going this morning.

The real reason for this post: Salt & Vinegar Potato Chips the saltier the better.

I have never told ANYONE this story. Promise to keep it confidential?

Once upon a time, I lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, home of Ambrosia (Blommer's) Chocolate. They actually make the CHOCOLATE and then sell it to candy companies. Anyway, driving in one direction on I-94, one would get a whiff of Miller Brewing Company, and in another direction was the tantalizing chocolate angel from Ambrosia. I was on a sales call very near Ambrosia and decided to stop in their OUTLET STORE. Bought pounds of chocolate. Duh. Just blocks of chocolate to bake with....It was a hot day. I forgot that I should have gone into Ambrosia AFTER I made my sales call. I think the excitement was overwhelming.

When I got back into my car, I smelled the delicious aroma of melted chocolate. Ohmigod, my delicious purchase was RUINED!!! I just had to taste it with my finger to see if it would be ok. Couldn't quite tell if it was acceptable or not. Had to do it again. And again. By now, I was home. I raced into my apartment--I didn't want the melted chocolate to turn bad. Frown I rummaged through my cabinets and found raisins! And peanuts! And almonds! And peanut butter! And a clean spoon!

I ate it all. It was heaven. Melted chocolate with very healthful additives. By the spoonful. But afterwards, I felt like the opposite place.

Oink.

It's my favorite candy in the world! Smile "Pull Candy" is a handmade candy that is popular around this area and some smaller candy makers make it. Pull candy in general is ok, but one brand "Ma Blakemans" which is made in Lancaster KY is like melting heaven in your mouth! It's creamy sugar basically.

Curveball07 - I'd be happy to send ya some anytime! Probably best to wait for the temp to drop a bit though! Smile BTW, your story of that little boy on a bike is almost identical to an experience I had right after taking my son to college for the first time. I smiled all the way to work after seeing this little white haired about 4 yr old boy on his bike with mom.... the years go by so fast. Ma Blakeman's has been my coping mechanism many times! Wink

I thought I was the only one who did the chocolate chips and peanut butter thing. So happy to know that I am not alone ... and I can understand the salty chaser ...

Gotta stop ... I am getting hungry and have no chocolate chips in the house. May just have to settle for straight peanut butter on my toast.
Lafmom seems to be the purveyor of all foods "native" to Kentucky. How long ago was that Charlotte..that you shipped those cans of Ale-8 to try???? LOL. Looks to me like some containers of this candy are looking to be packaged, postaged and sent! Big Grin Actually, you know what...you DID send along a package of candy with that Ale-8....was this that candy????

Yep Kathy.. that was it... although if enjoyed anywhere close to drinking the Ale 8, the taste was not what it should have been! Big Grin

They're actually making several foods with Ale8 now including a Salsa. I just can't bring myself to buy any of them though! Eek

I found it on a website that has e-cards. It was one of the icons for one of the cards ...

He is pretty cute and I don't have too many blue penquins in my collection ... altho I do have a poster with a 'punquin' that I can see from my computer chair ... has a mohawk, studded collar, sunglasses, face with an 'attitude', and standing in front of a brick wall with grafitti on it ... a co-worker got it for me years ago (haven't worked at that place in close to 10 years so you have an idea of how long I have been collecting penguins ...)
