We have experience with IMG, both camps and full time program. Younger son also did Doyle. Both sons working on pitching at the Texas Baseball Ranch this Summer.
Doyle was a significantly better experience than the IMG camps. Far more instructional and motivational. Very well run in comparison to a week or two at IMG. Held kids accountable for their behavior...something we found sorely missing at IMG camps and full time program. Denny Doyle and coaches are very hands on and positive. IMG instruction is hit or miss...we had some really great coaches (Edgar Caceres is a gem!) and some other guys just going through the motions.
Doyle was based at Tiger Town in Lakeland. Very nice facilities and dorm on site. Coaches lived there too.
IMG also has great baseball facilities. Dorming was in an adjacent apartment complex...mostly unsupervised. There were no adults who live with the campers or students, but they did have "for hire" staff who had an office in the complex.
I may be wrongly presuming an interest in college baseball...but at age 17 (rising junior or senior?) I might alternatively consider spending $$$ on more specific training or on college camps or showcases (again, presuming a high and wide target college list has been put together).
Good luck!
