For all you "baseball guys" (just for you Ken) out there. Speak to the man who influenced your life on the field and the effects off the field.
For me it was Tom McPherson. He is now the coach at Katy High. He coached me at Canyon and taught me more baseball than anyone before or after. Lessons on how to compete and have passion for what you do. At the time, because I knew everything, I did not know how this would help me succeed in life. Coach Mc always made sure you got the most out of what you had, talent or not. I saw him at the state championship game a month ago and he still had the demeanor of confidence and professionalism. Since then I have had time to reflect on how my association with him improved my opportunity to succeed in life. Thanks Coach.
