Impact baseball events???

Please note with Impact cancelling a showcase on 8 teams, you may not get the best assessment.

I did take a team to the Elon showcase/tournament and everything went well.

I am sure you are aware that we are hosting a Pitching Showcase on 6 Nov at our indoor facility.

How is your son doing at NW Shoals?

If you are thinking about the showcase to be held at UNC-W Nov. 5th,6th and 7th, that is not an "open" showcase. It is an invitation only event. There is a nomination link on thier site.
I know several who were nominated and, so far, haven't received an invite. My son got his a couple of weeks ago. He had attended two of thier open tryouts last spring. Good luck!

I feel confident that if you nominate your son, he will be accepted. Impact does a nice job with their showcases, but reality dictates that showcases are money makers for the person or group putting on the event. As a parent, you don't mind paying the money as long as scouts are in the stands and from our experience, Impact usually attracts numerous scouts to their events. I am assuming that your son plays high school and summer baseball and he has the desire and ability to play college baseball at some level - D1,2 or 3.

My son went last year and there was a good turn out of scouts......I believe we will go again this year.

My '06 went to the Impact showcase at South Carolina this past summer. Good number of scouts. Clemson, South Carolina, Western Carolina, and Campbell were there as well as others and a couple of MLB guys. One thing, though - you receive no feedback, evaluation, etc.

We're still waiting FEEDBACK as to why they cancelled the Wood Bat tourney in Greensboro.
