Last year in 8th grade we had alot of problems. Change in coach. Players quit. Lack of games. Etc. the way I made my impact on the coach was being able to work at the position that was in lack of skill on the team. Simply ask your coach if you can go to that spot and see what you can do.Now on a powerful lineup, which we didn't have, you would have to just try to work HARD to get a starting spot. Hope this helped.

- Play hard and hustle and have the attitude you want to make plays when you get they call your number

- Play smart fundamental baseball and avoid mental mistakes and lazy play. Mental mistakes and lazy play are an express ticket to the bench.

- Be a hitter and become a tough out. Good bats stay in lineups. Weak hitters, unless they're front line pitchers will have a tough time cracking a lineup.

- Play hard and smart in practices and scrimmages. That might be the the best opportunity to show what you can do.
