I turned on the Red Sox in the 7th inning. I decided I didn't want to listen to Jerry Remy (can't stand him). I switched to the Cardinals feed and there he was .....
Tim McCarver. arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Ahh but we have Vin Scully for one more year..
Go West young man, go West.
I dont know what was worse tonight, listening to Hawk Harrelson try to find the positive in a 16-0 butt whuppin or watching Cy Young hopeful, Adam Dunn pitch the 9th inning !!!!!
You lucky dogs....
No TV deal for Astros, so I was prevented from watching the two worst teams in baseball play 15 innings.
John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman... Really nothing more to say.
Sterling was 1 for 2 on the call of Martin Prado's HR last night.
"Martin is keen, he's the Prado of the Yankees."
Keen was lame.... but Prado of the Yankees was pretty clever.

RJM - I watched part of the game last night. Remy didn't sound the same for some reason. It sounded like he was eating and talking at the same time. My son said it sounded like he had a few cocktails. He does an awesome Jerry Remy imitation.
Do you know what the status of Remy's contract is with NESN? I know he signed a multi-year contract in 2010, but there was little detail after many google searches. NESN holds an option on Don Orsillo for next year. They would be fools to let Orsillo go, but no so much with Remy IMHO.
This is America...the land of choices You get to chose between Remy and McCarver. Would you rather poke in stick in your right eye or your left eye?
Option 3: Turn on the radio and turn down the sound on the TV.
It was a great moment when I figured out how to beat the MLB TV local blackout. It allows me to watch opposing team's TV broadcast.

RJM, You have a secret that we would all like to know...
I'll say MLB doesn't not like this and you can figure that out from there. One way is to use an IP blocker. What these do is disguise where the request is coming from. Therefore, MLB TV can't figure out which game to blackout. An IP blocker costs about $5 per month.
Another way is watch the game on Wiziwig.com, strikeout.co (no m, it's .co) or one of many other websites out of Europe. Then it's absolutely free. The picture quality may not always be as good having a subscription to MLB TV. The issue with the sites out of Europe is not downloading anything the screen might tell you to download. It's a bit of a minefield. There's malware if you screw up.
