You should look up John Fulcher. Herndon HS Pitching Coach and works out of Diamond Sports Training. Former pro and a real positive guy. Knows his stuff.

There's another whose name is escaping me - I'll post that name when I ask the mom. I'm results oriented - not hype/marketing. This recommendation comes from watching the pitchers who are successful and asking "Where did they learn how to do that?" A couple pitchers have been to both of these men and recommend both.

I can't speak from son's personal experience - yet - but will say that I've spoken with Pippen and was very impressed with his philosophy and emphasis on injury prevention.

These guys aren't cheap.

We thought Pinkman (Pinkman Academy) did an excellent job with both of our sons. I'd highly recommend them.

Agree with PichursParent -- Brian Snyder is one of the best pitching coaches on the East Coast; have known him for 10 years and my son worked with him in his late LL and early HS career. Snyder has a great approach to working with the kids, and his major league pitching experience doesn't hurt either...

He's no longer at the Snyder Baseball facility posted on the link above; he has a new company, Baseball Performance Training, Inc. -- www.baseballpt.com -- in Chantilly, right off Route 50. He's very flexible with scheduling too.

And no, I'm not Brian Snyder -- just someone whose kid worked out with him over the years and who highly recommends him to anyone trying to find a great pitching coach in NoVa.

You cannot go wrong with either Snyder or Pinkman. They both know their stuff and are excellent communicators. Between those two it really just comes down to your son's comfort level and what works best in terms of geography and scheduling.
