I have been a constant reader and follower of this website for many years, but have never posted. I am a high school baseball coach and former player and have learned alot and laughed alot following some of these posts. One of the most exciting things in my life recently happened and wanted the world to know that my son committed December 1st to play baseball on scholorship at Indian Hills Commununity College in the beautiful community of Centerville Iowa! He has many offers on the table to include a couple D1's but he fell in love with this small town and the fine coaches there as well as the facilities and the tradition. He is stoked for his Sr year of HS baseball and his first fall as a member of the Falcons baseball team.

Thanks to all you guys. I know Cam well. He saw my son as a Freshman and has been after him ever since, which has been fun. He is not only a great baseball guy but a great person. We have been to Centerville four times. My son has woked out with the team and he did a couple scout days there. It truly is a great fit for my guy. My son is a 3.5 GPA student and a three year all conference player but he is small 5'10 150lb outfielder and LHP. So, to have two years at a baseball school like this to get bigger and stronger is a good thing for him.
Son played against Indian Hills while playing JC at Maple Woods. At that time IH had 7 different countries represented on their team. I heard stories that MLB placed many there in an attempt to acclimate them into the US and provide them an education. Don't know if any of that's true but it's a very well known and talented program. Congrats to your son.
