Indiana, like all Big 10 schools, is a great academic institution. Everyone I know who has gone there (and our area sends many students there, even though it is an out of state school) has loved it. As far as baseball is concerned, there isn't a single Big 10 school that could be considered a "baseball school" The baseball will be good, though. And the "big school" "big sports" atmosphere can make it a lot of fun. Consider it.
Just reading the post above, it occures to me that I can't think of any school that I would consider a "baseball" school. Baseball at the college level is rarely a revenue producing sport and with a few exceptions, most schools get small attendance for baseball games. Football or basketball are usually the kings and in some places even socc*r or lacrosse.

My alma mater, Univ. of So. California has 12 NCAA baseball titles, more than double any other school and I don't think anyone would call USC a "baseball school". Even other schools in SoCal that have no football team like Loyola or Pepperdine seem to be more well known for basketball or volleyball. College baseball rarely has a dominant presence at any campus.
My Son visited the campus and met with the coaches this past year. The coaching staff is new and very good.

Matt Middleton has a great winning reputation in Connie Mack ball and is a new hire up there.

Great folks and a beautiful area of the country. Very picturesque. I would definately say a program on the rise.

If it were not so far away, and we were in state, my guy would have signed with them. 10 hours from home was too far for us.
