Does a left handed hitter get more infield hits or a right handed hitter? I ask this because even though left handed hitters are a step closer to first more of their hits would be to the second basemen and first basemen and right handed hitters hit the ball more the the left side short stop and 3rd base. I personaly have only beat out a few infield hits hit to the 1st baseman when batting lefty and have hit many more when I hit a grounder to the 3rd basemen batting righty.

A smart lefthanded hitter will get more infield hits. He should play to his strenghts. If he's fast he should use it. Unless he has power he shoudn't be swinging for the fences or trying to hit long fly balls, he should try to keep the ball on the ground or on a line. He should also go the other way when given the chance, not try to pull everything.
