Everyday son 2016 has been to a couple showcases. Lot of kids making the plays.

Except for the obvious, most blend together.

Seems to me using a runner during these drills can spotlight everything needed(arm strength, quick feet, release soft hands etc...) for a MIF.

Has this ever been thought about? Does it matter? Or are there just to many kids.

IMO, many kids comfortably field the ball take a couple steps, wind up and fire the ball to exibit their arm strength.

Just curious.Kind of new to all this.

Doesn't matter.  Evaluators at the better showcases can watch a player's actions and then measure arm strength with a gun to determine what they need to know.  Pretty much every showcase has scrimmage games as part of the program.  The evaluators can then see what they need to see as far as how a player handles things in game conditions.
