Not sure where I should have put this question but..........

If a player is red shirted his Freshman year does his scholarship still go against the alloted 11.7 limit for the school?

If a kid get's a medical redshirt does his scholarship amount still go against the alloted 11.7 limit school?

I would imagine that as long as the paperwork that comes with the funds shows it as "athletic", it is going against the program's 11.7 schollies. Our son's account statement always identified the source of his scholly as atletic. Don't think it matters if he is playing or rehabbing.
