Since 1983, Goodwill Series Inc.a non-profit company has been involved with the National
and State Teams of Japan, Korea, China and Australia. Over 40% of our former American Team players have played in the Major Leagues.

Visit our web site at <goodwillseries.org> to view the list of former players and to complete the player profile.

In 1991, the Goodwill Series at Riverside California with ESPN filming direct to 40 million homes in Japan. Jason Kendall, Nomar, Goeff Jenkins were on our American Team; Chan Ho Park on the Korean National Team and H. Matsui [Yankees] on the Japan National Team.

The first step is our December journey to the land “down under”. We are now selecting players for this trip.

Recommendations will come from the pro scouts, Perfect Game and our web site. Each player will have a tryout at no cost and interview as to their ability and desire to play 16 games in 16 days in Australia.

We play the strongest competition in Australia; the State Teams of South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland. Pro scouts and minor league professional coaches are our instructors.

Mr. Soxnole;
We have three age groups traveling.
1. The American Team [ages 16-18], will be coached by Stewart Smothers, a Phillies Scout and former Atlanta Braves outfielder and Gary Wheelock, Seattle Mariners minor league pitching coach.
Fred Mack, Astros scout and one of the best catching instructors will coach the catchers.

2. Rookies Team [ages 15-16] will be coached by Thomari Story Harden, currently playing professional baseball and Derek Bell, a hitting instructor and former college coach.

3. "Rookies Juniors" ages 13-14 will be coached by Charles Aliano, Brewers Scout and Kyle Dunning, former professional pitcher.

The coaches are committed to teaching and to player development.

Bob Williams
