Understand that introduction letter needs to be short and to the point, include basic bio info and fall tournament schedule. How do you make your letter stand out from the others? Do you include something personal about player? Lot's of things I have read mention needing to get their attention -- don't want to look and sound like everyone elses. Thoughts on this? Maybe a recruiter can respond?

Below is a sample of what my son sent out to various schools. Send it to the head coach and recruiting coach. Include in your letter the school name, team name and why you want to go (not just baseball reasons). Then attach a "resume". If you PM me your email address I will send you the resume my son has so you can use it as a guide.

Dear Coach ____________

My name is ___________. I am a high school junior, graduating class of 2011. I attend and play baseball at ________ High School in _____, Florida.
I have recently started to look into colleges I am interested in attending after graduation. Georgia Tech is high on my list of choices. I am considering Georgia Tech because of its academic and athletic reputation.

I also would like to continue playing baseball in college. I would be proud to be a part of your program as a Yellow Jacket. I feel my skills and versatility at different positions would make me an ideal candidate for your program.
I have attached a brief resume which contains my personal, academic, and baseball information.
Please send me any information regarding the Jacket’s baseball program, schedules, or any other helpful information.
