I will not be able to make it this weekend. I will be out of commission for about 2 weeks. I will be in South Bend 4/10-4/12 for 4 conference games.

Debbie will take the "MOM" duties while she is there. I did the "MOM" duty in Boca Raton and San Antonio.

Jess is a great guy and is very focused. He has done a great job so far this season. Root for he and Derik if they get a chance to pitch.

I don't like this new sceduling thing they are doing. Used to be weekend games were the norm in conference. Now half the games are weekdays! I guess you all will continue that. What really makes me mad is there aren't any games scheduled (at least for us) during those days.

Well I've not been to as many games as usual because Philip broke his Hamate bone (small bone in hand) and had to have it surgical repaired. Not sure of recovery time...

Oh man I had no idea Philip was hurt.. That is too bad, please send him my best..

As for the schedule.. its the Tech game I am most bummed about since I really wanted to go to B'burg, see all he tech players we know and also I had promised dinner to a few of the X-OHS kids who are students there.. I know for us the Saturday after our game with you is a travel day for the team and they will play Georgetown on Sunday..

In case you do get to Blacksburg and if your not familiar the resturaunt selection on a weekend is kinda crowded and limited.

You can get a good steak for a good price at the Texas Steak house across for the Mall, pretty good seafood (big portions)(I know it's inland) at poor Billy's downtown or they make a great local pizza at Backstreat pizza also downtown. The Pizza takes a while to cook but it's packed with toppings. Lucky to finish two pieces each weigh about a pound! Don't get the thick crust!

You won't be able to bounce around like this little guy if you go there.
