Is it a catch?

Right fielder running up hard to catch a shallow fly ball, player dives with ball landing in glove. After player rolls over and glove comes off fielders hand with ball still in glove. The fielder then reaches about 2ft from his body to pick up glove and shows ump, the umpire call the batter safe.

Is this the correct call since the fielder did not have control of the ball?

As soon as the glove came off (on the ground) it became it became a no-catch.

dash is absolutly correct...once the glove came off on the ground he no longer controlled the ball.......no catch...
