TR...I am a long time supporter of Parker as we played many legion games in the hot Ohio summers. Many people don't realize he was an excellent player and he was even a more awesome football standout. He could have played professionally...he should be in!
Tough question. All three were great players, for sure. If they don't deserve a spot, it just shows how exclusive the Hall really is. It's a great subject to ponder. Makes you wonder about some of the current players. Curt Schilling, for instance, who, at this point, I would say no.
And, looking back further, what about Fred Lynn? And, if not, what if he had stayed at Fenway? And, of course, the ultimate, Don Mattingly (I say no).
