Is name dropping a good strategy?

Contacting you is not recruiting you. I wouldn't mention that. You may end up with egg on your face. If the coach asks you could say you have been contacted by another school but don't call it something it isn't.
I was shocked how close coaching community is.

If they are interested in you they will more than likely ask you "What other schools have contacted you. Who else is recruiting you?" Just be honest and tell them. It is not going to scare them away. Coaches like to validate their beliefs in a player and if so and so likes you they feel better about how they feel about you as well.

Just make sure your honest. Of course that is a good policy period.

I am with BHD if they dont ask you dont mention it. But if they ask I would let them know for the reasons I mentioned. And yes the coaching profession is very close. They share information on players all the time and talk about the same guys frequently.

Thanks guys, its a exciting time for me and I appreciate the advice. Just tryin not to ruin a opportunity by giving off a bragging vibe , but on the other hand letting the coaches know that I also haveother schools intrested. I apprecciate the advice.

Good luck Texas. If they ask its not bragging. If they dont then no need to say anything. And above everything else let your glove arm and bat do all your talking.

Texas--Like Coach May said, coaches are close, and if the other school is REALLY interested in you, chances are the second school already knows it. I could not agree more with Coach May and his advice, good players have no reason to tell anyone they are good, let your work on the field stand for what you are.
