my son a soph got a letter requesting a schedule, grades and a baseball questionnaire from a d1 school (which were thrilled about)is this common or maybe a mistake thinking he's older? anyone that can tell me somthing please help!
ghoti - Yes, sophomores do get letters and questionnaires. All very legal. Congratulations on making their recruiting list, the first step of many! Provide the coach with the information they've requested so that the school can follow your son over the next 2 years.
ghoti - Here is a link that may answer future questions: NCAA Recruiting, as well as the topics located on the HSBBW homepage. Basically, all of the "rules" pertain to coaches, NOT PLAYERS. There is no "wrong" contact you could do that would effect your son. So relax and enjoy the recruiting ride!
