QUIET period, so there is no problem with coaches recruiting you on their campus.
Definitions: Prospective student-athlete, or prospect, is a student who has started classes for the ninth grade. As a ninth- or tenth-grade student, you are a prospect.Recruiting is the means by which a coach seeks to persuade you to attend the coach’s college or university to play baseball. Recruiting also occurs when a coach talks to your parents, relatives or legal guardian(s) about you attending the coach’s school to play baseball.Recruiting contact is any encounter between you or your parents, relatives or legal guardian(s) and a coach in which more than a simple “hello” is exchanged.Contact period is when a coach may contact or evaluate you in-person at your high school or any baseball event in which you are participating.Recruiting evaluation is when a coach assesses your academic or athletics ability, or observes you participating in any practice or competition at any site.Evaluation period is when a coach may evaluate your academic qualifications and athletics ability at your high school or other location in which you are practicing or competing. A coach may not make an in-person contact with you, howeverQuiet period is when a coach may make in-person recruiting contacts with you only on the coach’s campus.Dead period is when a coach may not make any in-person recruiting contacts with you or evaluate you at any site.
