Isn't it wonderful to see these fine young men working so diligently on their game this winter? Batting lessons, pitching lessons, conversations with dad about whether or not they're swinging properly, pumping iron in the garage, grunting, sweating, swearing, throwing that imaginary pitch in the living room, hitting that game winning home run in the foyer.

Ahh...Baseball!

It is not only played in the summer up north. It is played year round, if not on the field, then in the noggin. Fantasizing about hitting that 90 mph fastball and great catches in the outfield (or in the infield).

Now, isn't that wonderful...and positive.

Should get about 10 replies and even less views.

Probably will be closed down by fungo out of boredom...

Well anyway, tell us about your field of dreams whether it is striking out a batter with 2 outs in the 9th with bases loaded or hitting a grand slam to win the World Series.

I am such a wonderfully positive person. I am in the Christmas spirit.

Please do not "resist"...

Mine makes the 6 ½ hour drive home from college tomorrow. While he was home during Thanksgiving he set up a one month membership at a fitness center so he could work out every day. He also has access to the local college facilities and their indoor hitting cages which he normally spends an hour or two a day hitting while he’s home from college. The net is still up in the basement and I’ll break out the soft toss machine, dust off the thera-bands, and make sure the rice bucket is full. He’ll long toss just about every day with his minor league buddy in the gym, or if they catch a nice day, they’ll be outside...Baseball has no off season in his mind. Staying focused on what needs to be done makes us all better! Wink Official practice is just 4 weeks off with the first game on Feb 3rd.
