The interesting thing was I was sitting down the first base line at Scotland Yard and I heard it hissing.

Our boys did not appear intimidated, he was just unbelievable. Laying off a few weeks really got his velocity back up there.

After the disappointment wore off for our boys, I knew I was watching greatness. T-Bird son only hit once, but managed to foul one straight back into the umpires mask. Given the zone CK was in, I'll take it.

I remember the last year in the Astrodome. Lil Billy Wagner throwing 100mph. I was about 30 rows up and you could still hear szzsszszs- BAM!! when it hit the glove.

So, in these cases....it's not the visiting fans, hissing at the umps?

Someone told me they found this thread so I decided to drop in. It really is an amazing experience catching Mr. Kershaw.

hpbackstop - nice job last night behind the plate and nice hit. Hope the ump's arm was okay after he got hit by the pitch that bounced in or fouled off. Bet it was a stinger, he sure did yell loud .

I appreciate it sir. The ball in question skipped off my right foot and hit the umpire in the forearm. OUCH!

I couldn't tell how fast he was throwing...I never caught sight of the ball it was going by so fast.

My father thinks he is some hotshot quarterback from the 70's ....I learned my manners from his friends, specifically a retired Rockwall baseball coach.

We have some leftover BBQ from Bricktown.

I heard the HP fans had to get directions to the Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco last week...since it was outside of the loop they had no idea it was there!

They didn't have any problem finding their way to Midlothian today.

I wouldn't doubt that.

Mr. Kershaw and I will be on High School Sports Extra Sunday night at 10:40 after Dale Hansens show....we both got interviewed by Channel 8 after the game on Thursday.

I'm anxious to see how that turned out.
